Who would have thought that a 1960s space adventure show that ran for 3 seaons would (by 2010) spawn 27 more seasons of television, 10 feature films, and countless books, videogames, and other media? This is Star Trek. Gene Roddenberry's classic science fiction show (based partially on ideas in Forbidden Planet) that gave rise to almost an entire counter culture of fans. The show follows the adventures of Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the starship Enterprise as they explore space for strange new worlds, and go boldly where no one has gone before.
