1963 to 1989

Doctor Who was the longest running science fiction show of all time. It started with William Hartnell as the good doctor, travelling across space. The Doctor is a Time Lord who can change shape (which allowed for cast changes of the Doctor throughout the years). He also changes companions often. A hugely fun show, and it's low budget special effects only serve to make it more fun. Not to be missed.
