James Caan is the star of a future violent sport called Rollerball. In this future everything is controlled by mega-corporations, and rollerball is the biggest sponsored entertainment. James Caan's character is such a big star that the Corporation is wanting him to retire, but he refuses. He stays in the game and they start changing the rules to try and force him out.
