A for Andromeda

Only one episode of this British scifi series surivives, but it is still best-known as the first big role for Julie Christie. Scientists receive a transmission from a far off galaxy which gives them instructions on building a super computer. The computer then instructs them on how to build a living being named Andromeda, who is played by Julie Christie. One of the scientists starts to fear that this creation might be used to conquer humanity, and the world. The surviving footage is available in "The Andromeda Anthology" (Only in a non-US format).
